Hall of Fame Here I Come!!!

Derek had a game last night and did VERY well...I guess maybe I say that because I'm his momma :) His coach said he did a great job too!!! He did get to play 1st base which is what he's been practicing for and he got to bat first too!!! He did good on 1st base, he even caught it a few times. Now mind you these are 5-6 yr olds and they throw that ball EVERYWHERE!! One little boy was standing 3 feet from Derek and threw the ball over the dug out... he was too cute !! One play he caught the ball, tripped over the base but held on to that ball!!! What a player.
Their second time at bat the coach pitched it to them instead of hitting it off the tee. Each player got 3 swings and then the tee came back into play. WELL...... Derek hit it on the first pitch!!!! GREAT JOB KID!!!

This morning when I dropped Derek off we were waiting for his friend to get off the bus. Well two little girls from his class walked up to him and asked if he wanted to walk with them... so off he went..HOLDING HANDS WITH TWO GIRLS!!!! Boy are we in trouble.
His teacher says he's a very polite little boy and everyone wants to be around him!!! :)

OH... Today is the day Larry gives his decision about being the new freshman coach... He won't even tell me until he talks to the head varsity coach... OH CRAP!!! As soon as I know I'll let ya know!!!
