That's how long I was in the ER today!!!! I went in because I was having chest pains for a few weeks and over the weekend they got a little worse. So I called my Dr today and they told me if it was bad enough to go to the ER then I should go OR they could see me NEXT WEEK! What!!! What if it were something serious?? So I went and they did blood work...they wanted to make sure I wasn't prego either :) I told them if I were the Dr is in BIG trouble!!!(I had my tubes tied after Cerah..sorry but I was NOT pushing another 10 pound kid out!!!) Then had an EKG to check my heart , then a chest x-ray and finally a Cat scan to check for blood clots in my heart and lungs. After all this he came to the conclusion I had an inflamed chest cavity and was given anti inflammatory drugs. Then he scheduled a follow up with my Dr..guess when?? WEDNESDAY MORNING..in 2 days!!! I told him it was funny they couldn't see me for a week and that it took a trip to the ER to see me. He told me I was funny and told to stay out of trouble :)
Then he asked me if I need an excuse for work. I told him I was a SAHM but he could write me an excuse to give to my husband so I didn't have to do anything :) Again he laughed :)
If they found anything I was gonna be admitted!!! SO glad I'm OK and at home with my family.:)
Here are a few things I heard during my "stay" at the hospital:
The first was sad. I believe it was a man who was in the ER had a heart attack and I think he died :( Which made me tear up....)
The rest were kind of better:
1- I listened to a man pass a kidney stone..oh wait that's not fun..
2-The kid across the hall broke his pinkie and while they waited the DAD burped the whole time..what an example!!
3-A kid next to me had MERSA and told the Dr he doesn't wash his hand with hot water because it takes too long ???!!
WHAT A DAY!!!!!
I'm gonna try to load some pics up tomorrow...but Derek has his Thanksgiving lunch in the cafeteria tomorrow so we'll see :)

Wow, so you also had a turn at the ER. How scared you must've been!
Thank G-d it all seems under control.
I also witnessed a few things in ER. There was a father with a baby under 2, and the poor kid's clothes were soaked in blood and he was crying non-stop.
Then there was a teen. An older teen came to visit him and the boy who was the patient said, "They think it's just an infection." And he sounded happy. Must've been something quite scary if an infection makes him happy!
Oh girl!! I'm glad you are ok!!! Let us know how your doctor's appointment goes!!!!
I am so glad your health scare wasn't something more severe! I'll keep you in my prayers.
I spend a lot of time in the ER with my elderly clients... and thus the stories I could tell you. The worst I heard/saw was a 13 year old girl who was 5 months pregnant and tried to give HERSELF an abortion. Obviously it went horribly wrong. But it made me sad... not only for the baby but for the girl who's only option was to try to do it herself. Her parents must have been pretty bad. It made me think that I need to convey to my children that no matter how bad they think it is... we'll get through it together. I would never want my own child to try and handle something like that by themself.
Ok... enough of the depressing talk. It's snowing here and that makes me excited! Have a great day Soltana!
Oh my, I hope you are feeling better, ER's are always interesting places.
