Last night Derek and I were watching TV. Larry was at a game and Cerah fell asleep at 7!!!!!!!
A commercial for Mother's Day came on and here was our conversation:
M: So what are you going to get momma for mother's day?
D:I don't know
D: When is kid's day??
M: Kid's day is everyday
D: Well you don't buy me something everyday.
I then tried to explain to him that a lot of kids didn't have all the things he was lucky to have.
D: Like what?
M: Some kids don't have a house, food, clothes, toys to play with
D: NO TV!! How do they play their games?
M: Some kids don't have games for their TVs.
D: You're a good mom, Mom and dad is a good dad.
Now lets see if it all sticks next time he gets his game taken away:)
Oh and I "fell" in a hole yesterday. You know those little holes in the ground you don't see until your ankle cracks and it swells?? Yup that's what happened to me.When I picked Derek up from scholl I fell in one of those holes. Derek told me to rest and he would take care of me:)
It was time for bed and he covered me up and turned the lights off.. Sweet kid I tell ya. I asked him why sometimes he is such a good boy and sometimes he doesn't want to listen:
"Because my brain tells me to be bad" :)

You know when I was a kid, I wondered the exact same thing. I always thought, "what a crock, mom and dad get an extra present day". LOL
Sorry to hear about your ankle, and yep I've had those sneaky holes open up right in front of me too! Except they didn't snap my ankle, they caused me to fall HARD on my knee! Hope you feel better soon!
"My brain tell me to be bad" is TOTALLY something Bryant would say. I'm telling you... our two boys would spell T R O U B L E if they were "real life" friends!
I hope the ankle is feeling better today.
